In verse 23, by thy messengers, thou hast reproached lord, and hast said so now right here. If we were doing modern punctuation, you'd put a coma and a quotation mark. So this is what the assyrians are saying: Nothing can stand in our way. And so nothing's going to be able to stand up or stop us. With the sole of my feet, i've dried up the rivers of besieged places. In fact, even all these other places that you've conquered, that wasn't you. That was me.
