The Role of Breathing in Training

When an athlete is fatigued, when they're struggling to adapt and cope with the training load, it shows up in their breathing. It was always a bit of a red flag when an athlete would say, yeah my breathing is off today. If you're heart, you know, your resting heart rate might be a bit high. You might add it to another few markers that will give you permission to probably back their training off a bit. That's where the durability kind of thing comes in where these things are dynamic and shifting. So if you do have that shift, then that's definitely going to show up in things like particularly breathing.
