The Rise of Conspiracy Theories

Hofstadter is clear that this is not specifically a right wing or left wing phenomenon. The content and substance of conspiracy theories from people who have a right wing affiliation are going to be different than those of a left wing affiliation. Literature also seems to say that the same thing applies across genders, where it seems as though there's a pretty equal distribution of conspiracy thinking and theorizing across genders.
