Machine Learning - What's Your Philosophy?

I wouldn't say that they are better than traditional models in all market environments. But in an environment where the models have seen similar patterns historically, then they tend to make good money. I think we tend to pre-process data a bit more before we feed the machine learning model with data. So we don't take a lot of price data and just put it into the machine and let the machine find patterns. We would pre-process and maybe,. for example, put in seasonal patterns, for example, that we know has some positive return expectation and then we let the machinelearning model use that type of data.
