Learning in the Hippocampus
I put an electrode into the cells of the hippicampus. This was the region that had been shown to be important for memory storage. The thrill of having that was just spectacular. And i thought i would understand how learning occurs. How naive can you get? I realized that this is study learning. You have to see how information is stored in the brain, how inputs are combined in some way. So i realize this is too complicated to do in the cats. I have to go to a simpler system where i can study a very simple learning process. That's when i decided to go to plicia.
