Sea Otter Predation in the Pacific Northwest

Researchers on the pacific northwest coast have studied evidence of sea otter prevalence in the area. The increasing sea atter population eats the shellfish before they can grow big enough for humans to effectively use them as food. And researchers believe people in new guinea may have been collecting casuary eggs and raising the birds after they hatched, as long as 18 thousand years ago.
