memetic desire is a deeply ingrained part of human nature. It's not inevitable that we're miserable, and this us miserable. We tend to our im ation armamesis tends to turn negative because of pride or insecurity. So it certainly doesn't have to be bad, don't have to lead us into dark places. Memesus affects all these things. And i don't think it's inescapable. In fact, trying to escape it completely would be trying to escape in our own humanity.
