How to Increase Stiffness in Your Connective Tissues

The NFL combine is where the best college football players are tested put through a series of tests key performance indicators like vertical jump in the 40 yard dash and the long jump and bench press. These athletes spend months preparing for the NFL combine so that on a couple of days when they are tested they can run their fastest and jump their highest. They do that by adding stiffness to the system via cross links which connect collagen molecules and fibers much like cross-bracing of a wooden truss.
