There have been some studies of footfall that sould have underlined the fact that it tend to pecle from outside wakefield and go there. And i suppose there's a similar sort of bitter sweet feeling about being so near a city like leeds as well. You know, it can be helpful to be near such a great economic centre, but it can also detract from wakefield as tha city itself. If you look at the word clouds from some of the focus groups that my colleage, the bos institute here at kings, has done recently, they're all remarkably positive.
