Mastodon Isn't Twitter, It's Not.

Mastodon has 180,000 subscribers in the US and is trying to make it an entire subscription service. But nobody sees the point in buying one because a few people in your timeline have that advantage. I'm not wholly convinced yet that Mastodon has managed to engage well enough. It's sufficiently similar to Twitter that you can bring your habits over and get little hits of dopamine but it doesn't feel like a forever home to me.
