The Metaphysical Baggage of Arguments

Nick Bostrom: We have this inception of arguments with all this metaphysical baggage, right? Like, as an example, you brought in numbers and consciousness and question against an identity theorist. Who thinks that the brain just is mind, right? There- there really is no mind. It's just a shorthand word we use for, like, neural correlates or axons and neurons. That's why I want to stress this method of why I'm saying I think naturalism is more likely true or that God doesn't exist. Because notice the things that you have put onto the table to explain things. They're not just being physical, they're being a transcendent realm, a divine realm
