Investigators had a tip to run down in the brutal murder of 39-year-old Connie DeBate. A theory about the killer was almost universally held among family and friends. State police sought out this contractor, Ken Sweeney, speaking with him at his house. Police asked if they could photograph his face, hands and body for signs he had been in an altercation.
