The Importance of a Good Trail

Hiking trails are designed to avoid hazards like precarious cliffs or places they're not supposed to go. A trail has a set difficulty level that is specific to each trail and can sometimes involve rolling rocks or logs onto it. 99 PI listener Joelle McNichol sent us a voice memo from her local hiking trail in the Craggy North of England. In 1862 most of the mill workers were refusing to work because they didn't want to use cotton being imported from U.S. plantations. There's huge support for abolition of slavery in this area.
