The Great Grandmother Hypothesis

The grandmother hypothesis is trying to explain why humans live so long after reproduction. It says human females survive well past their reproductive prime because of the benefits that post menapors or women, offer to their grandchildren. This might be through helping look after a toddler, it means your daughter could go off and have another child sooner. These complex nurturing relationships are all part of what makes us human. And you might think that's what sets us apart as cies.
