About two thirds of europe is facing drought warnings and alerts, according to a report from the global drought observatory. Europe's rivers and canals provide around 80 billion dollars to the area's economy. Without these water sources, shipping, trade routes are impacted as well as agriculture, energy and even drinking water. Drought could also lead to more food inflation.
