The Impermanence of Meditation

The Buddha was basically, he said, good luck if you have kids attaining awakening because of the level of attachment that we hold to our children. In Pali, Rahula means fetter. So basically the Buddha named his son, handcuffs, right? Which I think is really funny. When the Buddha set out for his awakening, after encountering these heavenly messengers, that Rahula was uninfant. And the Buddha didn't return for seven years. But so there's this quality of letting go and this quality of renunciation within this practice. That's where we need to be, right?
