The Multi Generational Connection to Ahsoka

Ahsoka provides more flexibility going into the future with her as opposed to just about any other George Lucas created characters. If they took their time, they could have crafted the whole sequel trilogy around a character like Ahsoka and not be so concerned with them stealing all the spotlight because Ahsoka had already interacted with them previously. And of course, we always have to keep in mind that George Lucas, his fingerprints are all over the creation of this character.
