Private Equity Within Sports?
Private equity has only really been making moves into the sports industry at the top tier over the last few years. CBC are obviously the ones leading this wave of investment from private equity. CVC in particular, they've made a number of investments, as mentioned before, and a good half a dozen plus. World's property is also even in the IPL where they spent something like 700 million on a franchise team there. And so yeah, really interesting to see where this goes and how much more investment into other major sports properties will we continue to see with these sort of developments of commercial arms popping up left, right and center these days.
