Shadowography, camera obscura and the magic lantern are early examples of film technology. The first one is from prehistoric times when cavemen sat around a fire to keep it smoky so they didn't kill themselves. There's also shadow puppetry; I can just see like I can do the dog with my hand. That's how they were doing these things in 200 beats. What about the magic lantern? That's getting close.
