The Role of Story Telling in Science
In science, and especially the hard sciences, as you say, like physics, in de personalized way. And i think one element of acquiring this funding and understanding the relation between the research d and what comes out in the world, is the ability to tell stories. In researching this book and learning the stories of the people in it, and it really did humanize them for me,. It really helped me see that even j j thompson felt like an idiot in his lab occasionally.
