Shakespeare's Relationships to the Sonnets

The value here in examining the sonnets is not necessarily in figuring out the secret identities. The value is in seeing what shakespeare thought was important and meaningful in these relationships that he had. I believe that they shed light on his relationships to the plays, and that we can tell from the sonnets that there are particular ways, specific limited as in which we can connect the plays to his real life.
