Do you necessarily think that AGI will be the result of a big breakthrough I'm trying to think about this question and the degree to which it makes sense. If we look at how the AI field has developed in recent years you had a sort of three year burst of amazing advances in computer vision starting from maybe Alex net or something in the beginning of CNN's. It was a few years from that to face recognition becoming a commodity technology right on everyone's phone. In NLP you would say yeah you had burnt intentions all you need that was what 2017 18 and then so you had like four years twenty seventeen four years so it's six years to chat GPT right so five years whatever.
