The Primary Purpose of Language Is Not Communication

i think our history began 60, 70 thousand years ago when something really big happened to us. We learned about two things that don't exist: the future and the past. And all of a sudden, here we were, and we could create stories. Only way later did we learn how to tell them. This isn't just speculation. I'm not down on animals. Like they may very well feel pain like we do. They may even be conscious, but their mental state is different than ours. Think of em to scenarios.
