Section 230 - What's the Good Samaritan Provision?

Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act was enacted in 1996 before Twitter had been invented. It protects platforms from liability for restricting access to material that they consider obscene, lewd or lascivious. Big tech uses Section 230 to act like a publisher and de-circulate certain stories as they did with the Hunter Files story. The law has been completely perverted and abused by big tech, yet they insist on maintaining the current regime.
