Is There a Difference Between High School and College?
Sally Kohn: You grew up in Hawaii, you went to the same high school that Barack Obama did. She says her family goes back over 100 years and she was a senior when he was a freshman at their schools. How do you get this affinity for trying to have opportunities arise in different places? Kohn: I think some of my experience growing up in places like Hawaii, living in places like Ohio and Kansas and in Virginia helped give me a sense of these places but also recognizing some of the challenges in those places.
