The Importance of Internal Monologue in Writing
I so enjoyed reading Gilead. In fact, I've got my copy with me right now. Marilyn only read it last year, but have fallen in love with your writing since. Do you do kind of consciously have an interior monologue of sorts? Or is it rather different when you're putting that to paper and trying to express it in a way in the novel? It's very different. I don't know where my characters come from,. Very charmed by the fact that they are different from me, you know.
