Can a Lot More of the Game Be Rigged?

Could a lot more of the game be rigged such that our access to reality has been distorted and gets changed? And we don't even really think about that, just there's bin, like a change in it, and stuff like rat. I would argue it sounds like one certainly being attempted right now on a pretty grand scale.
