There is an interest in countering emerging centres of power that might threatened the c c p. A lot of this seems to a been kicked off by the speech that jack maw gave last year, where he criticized financial regulators for being backward thinking. And i think more broadly though, it was just a sense that the companies were kind of not really listening to the guide lines and the guidance of the party about how they thought the economy should be ordered.
