The St. Peter's book paradox is basically something along these lines. Like you have the kind of positive expected value thing, but most of the time you'll get to zero. If he had just done arbitrage trading for five years and like, you know, just kept setting aside some money. Maybe that's what somebody who has roughly his beliefs should be doing. And maybe at some point you'll run out of money, but you don't bring anybody else down.
