The Dangers of Social Media Reporting of Chinese Language News in Southeast Asia

Klaus: I really have a hard time believing that anyone in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs here would see a chance in like reversing the tide or getting back some diplomatic allies. And those dollar diplomacy stories, they tend to come out pretty easily and then they will make you look bad. We haven't seen any corroborating evidence. It's no good because what if next time it's something that spreads panic, right?
