Is There a Limitation in the Number of Words in English?

A lot of the times the constraints i'm working on are very severe. It's not merely a matter of you know, do I like the sound And that uh that cool Dutch vowel um that you hear in words like slothle Um, you know, that's a great sound. Am I going to include it or not inyou know in a language? A Polynesian language is gonna have a very limited native phonology Uh, there's a mechanism for incorporating more but it's very limited and it has self-segregating morphology Just because the the limited phonology just wasn't difficult enough So now we're going to have very strict rules about the shapes of words as well
