The human brain is not designed to be modded and upgraded in a flexible way. We do have some interesting adaptive abilities like if you graft a weird new sense organ into the brain, the brain will often adapt to being able to sense from it. But there's weaknesses. And then there's potential ethical weaknesses also. The maxim that absolute power corrupts absolutely was a sort of partial truth formulated by observing humans. It's not necessarily a truth about all possible minds.
