Kevin Kelly: In terms of experts having an impact through their communication with the public, do you think nowadays it has become the job of scientists to communicate with the public in ways that it historically wasn't true for that profession? He says many more academics and scientists are actively engaged and talked to the public. Kelly: What I get nervous about is that a lot of scientists use the halo of being an academic or a scientist to talk about things they don't really know very much about.
