The DC Nine Flight Crew Didn't Follow Their Routing
The NTSB believes the ground controllers actions became deficient when he became aware of the crew's difficulty in the Oscar four area. His awareness occurred at one 45 and two seconds before flight two 99 began powering up their engines for takeoff. If you had done so, the local controller might have reacted to warn the crew of flight two 99 about the potential hazard. So there's actually a lot of findings when you go through here because this was so preventable. Right.
