I think the Cold War, particularly the emergence of China and the emergence of subject union was a very important element. The socialist bloc really provides the condition for nurturing these nationalist movements in a way that it is perhaps difficult to understand how things would evolve without such a such a support. So like the first weapons come from former Czechoslovakia, the first trainees of the page say go to China and later on to the Soviet Union and so on. But I don't think that one has to take into account is that a lot of these other questions took place under the framework of the Cold War.
