Macron's Message to Chinese Power
Macron wants to play a role in diplomacy which matters, and possibly the diplomacy which matters right now. Messages have been delivered but whether they've been received by the Chinese is another question. But at least Macron has gone there and said, look, you do play a role, President Xi, in this conflict. And there are basically two messages: One is don't make things worse by delivering weapons that Russia is asking for. The other message is, look, we accept you guys can play a role here.
