As a designer, your superpower is to be through ambiguity that comes when you try to explore. So as a designer, you have to be the guy that is comfortable with ambiguity. I tend to design just what I like, and then I'm surprised when other people don't like it, right? Sounds like you identify with that. But we need to really stretch ourselves out and outside of our comfort zone for good reasons.
