The LGBTQ Plus Community Needs More Than Just Fanfiction
The LGBTQ plus community is pretty starved for open representation. I won't pretend there's no harm in fanfiction whatsoever. Although the community overall comes across as positive and welcoming, I will say that problems arise when this bleeds into real life. One example of this is the Jack Septicae and Markiplier situation. There is a lot of gay fanfiction of these two, like way, way too many. It's a little uncomfortable to say the least. And it even went to a point that they have a name, Septiplier.
