COVID-19 Vaccines: What to Expect
This fall, there's going to be a new monovalent vaccine that will replace the bivalent. Fewer than one in five eligible people in the US ever got the by-valent COVID-19 vaccine. Experts say they expected the CDC would recommend the new vaccine at least for older immunocompromised or pregnant people because of greater risk for severe disease when infected with SARS-CoV-2. But we don't know yet. We're going to have to wait until the CDC's advisory committee meets.
