Tolkien's Silmarillion

There was a callback actually to a part of the Silmarillion when Adar and Galadriel were talking. It sounds like what Morgoth said to Hurin of I'm going to make all of your kin die miserably. That's basically what Gladriel said to Adar. But you know, I think that the show is just telling us the story and I don't know how close that is to Tolkien's intention. If that's true, what's happening if Galadriel is literally just hunting people down just because of their race, that is problematic.
