The longer that you avoid, the longer you avoid those things that make you anxious, the longer that it perpetuates the anxiety. The question is, how do we bring somebody to that exposure? There's a difference from methods. You can overcome it through exposing yourself, right? Your exposure. That thing that you were afraid of isn't so scary. It's really not real. And the anxiety, at least for the most part, in most situations can go away - but only if you're willing to face it.
