The Six Realms of the Wheel of Life
The Buddhist universe is a universe of all sorts of different forms or styles of consciousness. If we're in a certain state of consciousness, we will live in a certain kind of world. There are hellish worlds where people experience the world as very constricted and hot and oppressive. And there are hungry ghost worlds, you know, worlds where the basic consciousness is one of craving and addiction. So yeah, this idea that our consciousness gives rise to a whole world, to a whole way of sort of experiencing where we are and what's around us.
