The Bronze Age Palace in Arachlion

The walls were built of very large blocks, which were called Cyclopean in this period. Arthur Evans recognized that these were probably dating to the Bronze Age because he could see parallels with other things which he had seen in Athens. In a way, what these frescoes do show what the palace is associated with even when those activities aren't happening. So they're almost a form of propaganda to show what the Palace is doing.
