Sonia says she was misled to marry the father of her child at a very young age, despite his irresponsible and abusive behavior. A similar bill to end permanent almony actually passed the florida state house in senate but the governor ended up vetoing it after a woman's group of almony recipients flooded him with anger letters. There's no reason why divorce women cannot go work, unless they're disabled, or some extenuating circumstances were they're taking care of a disabled child.
