My Story of Being a Strange Kid

My parents were both from Vancouver Island in Canada. My mom was the only person in her family to go to university. She became a teacher, and back then when you got pregnant, there was no maternity leave. And she wasn't really satisfied with the homemaker lifestyle that she'd been put into. Her dad, meanwhile, was always jumping around professions. He eventually ended up becoming a glacier and owning his own glass business. I had some delayed language development early on.
