The Dilemma of Labor in the Seventh Century
Jaimini's Mi-Mamsa Sutra has a twin work in the shape of Baderayana's Vedanta Sutra. The two authors were contemporaries, and it has even been suggested that there was a certain amount of collaboration between them. In the seventh century, the school divided into two sub-schools: one following Kumar-la-Battah and the other Prabhākara. They shared with Niaya a broadly realist epistemology and contributed in particular to the theory of perception.
