Day and Age

This is an opera that had some success in America, had a lot of success and won the Pulitzer Prize. The music seems to not just paint the emotion but the kind of there's a physical feeling. Sometimes you feel kind of not claustrophobic but it really is a world. This section is all beautiful. It's like extreme beauty but also this undercurrent of kind of, I don't know if it's sinister but an uncomfortable undercurrent.
