Chennai Super Kings were bowled out for just 54 in their first innings. Sandeep Sharma was named man of the match after scoring 63 runs off 30 balls. The Indian all-rounder also hit a six and two fours as Chennai came back to win by seven wickets with three overs remaining. He said that he believed his side could do it, even though they had only won one ball so far.
