Decoupling Global Supply Chains
The popularity of managed trade can hardly be in doubt at the moment. But i fear that this resilient supply chain conversation, at most point along the way, has the feel of pursuing autarchy In my view. Whatever those solutions end up being, whether from government or the private sector, they're going to take years to implement. Re wiring the entire global economy doesn't happen quickly. And western governments celebrating the idea of more products being made at home should be warned.
