Structural equation modeling and this thing called partially squares that we're going to start getting into weren't just born in Europe. They were born at the same university, Uppsala University, as coming out of a guy named Herman Vold. After structural equation modeling started taking off, Hermann Vold sort of watched his academic child go off and do great things.
